To enable accurate mapping, every paragraph within your three Career Episodes should be systematically numbered. A standard practical convention widely recognized in MSA applications uses the following format:

  • Career Episode 1 Paragraphs: CE 1.1, CE 1.2, CE 1.3, CE 1.4…
  • Career Episode 2 Paragraphs: CE 2.1, CE 2.2, CE 2.3, CE 2.4…
  • Career Episode 3 Paragraphs: CE 3.1, CE 3.2, CE 3.3, CE 3.4…

In your Summary Statement table, you will enter these exact paragraph identifiers (e.g. CE 1.3, CE 2.5) in the “Paragraph Number” column alongside a brief explanation of how you fulfilled that element.

Engineers Australia evaluates migration applications under four distinct occupational categories. Competency titles, identifiers, and expectations differ depending on your nominated category:

A. Professional Engineer Occupational Category

Requires mapping across 16 Stage 1 Competency Elements (PE1.1 to PE3.6):

Requires mapping across 16 Managerial Competency Elements (EM1.1 to EM3.6) focusing on strategic business alignment, financial management, team leadership, and risk governance:
